Well, it's the first work day of 2003, and here I am back at my desk. Guh. It's really weird having a day off in the middle of the week. My body clock is all floopy and squinky now.

I spent most of yesterday just chilling at home. I watched my alma mater NCSU trounce Notre Dame in the Gator Bowl (go Pack!). I was going to try to get a couple of stories ready to send out, but just didn't. I did however do some big time organizing of DVDs, videos, and books. Since I got a new DVD/VCR player for Christmas, the space in my entertainment that was being taken up by my old VCR (which committed hara kiri a couple of months ago) is free now. So I took all the videotapes that were stacked on the floor or were taking up space in shelves and stuck them in the entertainment center. Then I moved all my DVDs to the shelves formerly occupied by tapes, then moved a bunch of trade paperbacks to the shelves formerly occupied by DVDs, then rearranged my bookshelves. It's complicated. But it looks so nice now. Everything is very organized, and the new books I got for Christmas (and even over the last few months, actually) are integrated into the bookshelves now. Yay!

The night before, New Year's Eve, I was invited to a party over in Durham at the house of a girl I've only met a few times. It was pretty fun, and I did know a few people from before. I got there with buddy Jason Miller at around 11:00, and everyone was already drunk. I never had enough to get drunk, though I did get a good buzz going. At midnight, a couple of guys decided they were going to take their clothes off, and they did. I've been trying to scour my brain ever since. We left around 12:30.

Hope everyone had a nice New Year's. Now the party's over, and it's back to work. Oh well, it could be worse.
