Another productive weekend, and I'm happy. I got a whole mess of writing done. After looking at the Cup-a-Prose comments and the ones Janet emailed me, I revised "Watersnake, Firesnake" and got it ready to send out to Ellen Datlow today. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. There weren't any real major changes, but the small changes smoothed out the bumps in the story and made it flow better. Big thanks to Janet for pointing out all my Asian inaccuracies.

I also got "Danza de los Duendes" into a decent draft to show the Cup-a-Prose fellas for the next meeting. It feels like it can stand on its own as a short story, as well as part of the novel. Two birds with one stone.

I also got a lot of maintenance and cleaning done around the apartment, balanced my checkbook, paid bills (grumble, grumble). I almost went around measuring my furniture to see how much will fit if I go into graduate housing next Fall, but I was pooped out by that point.

By 8:00 last night, there was nothing terribly good on TV, and I really felt like I should be doing something, since I usually am on Sunday nights. So I turned off the TV, put The Chieftains on the CD player, and got working on the second half of the third chapter of the novel. It's going to be a retelling of my story "Little Miracles" but from Audi's viewpoint instead of his mother's. I got 1100 words written last night before I stopped. Yay!

Go check out Mike Jasper's journal. There's a big discussion on science fantasy going on right now in the comments section (of which I am a part) that's really fascinating. It sounds like an SF panel discussion, which is cool. Practise for when I actually get on a panel someday.
