I just woke up at 7:00 a.m. Today is the final day to work on research papers, the final chance to get everything done in time.

My last paper, on the textocentric nature of Jonathan Swift's A Tale of a Tub, is due by 5:00 p.m. Not finished by that time, but due in my professor's hands by that time.

A third of the paper is done. It needs to be fifteen pages. Five have been written.

I am mentally exhausted. For the past two weeks, I have done hardly anything besides academic writing, and it has strained me nearly to my limits.

So here's the plan: I'm going to get a shower, and brew some coffee, and crank out this sucker. The challenge will be overcoming my mental fatigue in order to keep interest so that I finish it.

I will be making updates every hour on the hour in the comments section of this entry. Encouragement is welcome and appreciated.

As they say, some days you get the bear, and some days the bear gets you. Will he finish on time? Will he collapse ten feet in front of the finish line? Keep checking back to find out.

Ten hours to write ten pages. This deadline will either be extremely motivating or extremely crippling.

Because today, I want to get that bear, and I want to get him bad.
