I had a whole entry planned about the power of words, but right now, I'm just too tired to write it. I also have some comments about the reaction to this Strange Horizons article, but they will also have to wait. Hopefully tomorrow.

Yesterday, I got a cell phone. Twenty-eight years old and my first cell phone. It's a tiny thing, a flip, so small that my thumb was cramping up last night while inputing numbers into the address book. I went with Cingular. The phone was free.

I used it today when I got out of class to call Janet. Then I called her when I got to my car at the park-and-ride. Cell phones are fun.

Two rejections today: a nice personal letter from Ellen Datlow at SciFiction for "Don't Blink" (which is going in the mail to Andy Cox at The 3rd Alternative tomorrow), and a slightly less personal email from the folks at One Story for "One Less."

More later.
