Wired While Decidedly Unwired

Spent the night in the hospital last night.

No, no, I'm fine and so is everyone else. I just finally got around to having my sleep study completed (pretty sure it's sleep apnea) and it required an overnight.

You know, it wasn't the tangled shrubbery of wires that bugged me. It wasn't the fact that I couldn't take my laptop and do any writing while I was there. It wasn't even the fact that I couldn't really go out to smoke.

It was the "no caffeine," rule. When they told me that, I almost had a panic attack. Me thinks I may have a pretty good addiction to coffee. Time to look into that.

Other than that, I finally decided to purchase a ready-made template for my website instead of going through the process of building one from the ground up. After all, the purpose of the website is to promote my writing, not take time away from it. And for the thirty-five bucks I spent on the template (complete with editable flash intro) I'm getting a professionally designed website that I don't have to work too hard to keep updated. Besides that, it's really cool. I'll give everyone the web address when it's up and running, which should be within a week or two. I'd love to work on it this weekend in my spare time, but I think my Princess would probably kill me. She already glares at me when I sit down at the computer in the evenings (unless we're both playing on-line poker) and as it's our anniversary weekend, I think I'll just play it safe.

Come to think of it, I think just writing this may get me in trouble.
