I've really been into guitar music lately. I just like listening to it.

Yesterday, we packed up and headed south to Monterey for a small family road trip. We went with some friends who were running in the marathon. We met up with them and had dinner at Bubba Gump's Shrimp House. I don't eat seafood, so I had the baby back ribs. It was a nice trip and Mary allowed my guitar and my laptop to come with. But I only managed a few words in Monterey.

The hotel sucked. Actually, it was an inn -- whatever the difference is, I don't know. I really hate how hotels jack up their prices when they're near an event, but offer the same cheap accommodations. My main complaints about the place were: not enough good pillows, a broken toilet, and tap water that came out slightly brown.

We came home this afternoon. I did some yardwork and puttering around.

I managed to make some progress this weekend, but not much. In two days I only managed one day's worth of wordage. At the inn, there were too many disruptions, and when it was finally quiet enough tonight, fatigue is taking over, and I've hit a wall. I'm hoping things will look brighter in the morning.
