Novel Word Count: 16,121
Reading now: The Lincoln Lawyer - Mr. Michael Connelly
Listening to: INXS - SWITCH

Some time ago, I made a resolution to stop making resolutions. I don't take them seriously since they're usually things I should be doping anyway rather than waiting till January 1 to commit. So without further ado, here are some things I am going to try to do. I am already falling behind on some of them.

  • Stop procrastinating. Oh, well..
  • Stop thinking homicidal thoughts about people who drive SUVs on the back road I take to work. Uh...not happening.
  • Read more. This one is going well so far.
  • Write more. Also going well, though it's been more revision than writing on the novel so far. But thaty's done now.
  • Watch less TV. Going well. I've resisted all of the new shows and just stopped watching others. I find I have a lot more time for reading and writing. Oh, and another thing that sucks about TV is commercials. I can't stand them.
  • Eat less, eat better food, exercise more. Well, I just finished a Taco Bell lunch...
  • But I am up to thirty (30) pushups. I also have a bruise on my left bicep the size of an orange, courtesy of a twenty-something blakcbelt I was sparring.

  • Happy New Year!
