The next milestone will be to go over 30,000 words before March 1. And so on, trying to get 10,000 words per month. It's very much an attainable goal for me, what with the stressful job and the two hour commute three days per week, and practicing guitar and Taekwondo. I can get 10,000 words written in a month by doing approximately 333 per day (depending on how many days in the month. I round that up to 350. This keeps me on a good pace, and allows for those all too unavoidable missed days.
Right now, I am doing what I call avoidance. That means doing other things besides working on the novel. Or working on short stories. Or playing the guitar. I trained this morning, so I don't feel too guilty.
