I've been too far displaced from blogging and any kind of writing all this merry month of May. Not because of being too busy, althought that has much to do with it. Mostly because I've been suffering a mild bout of "Writer's Doubt." Often, I am hit with a fear that not only can I NOT write, but I never could. I know not from where it comes.

I have overcome it, though. I talked to a writer friend who's had some recent success in his career and I did a lot of sould searching. Then, I pulled out various drafts of my novel and all the drafts of an outline I had, and I started a new outline. This one is going well. It's allowing me to think through the story as I write it, but instead of a scene, I write a sentence or two. This allows me to move "scenes" around, and also to go back and insert scenes where they are needed.

This should get me moving forward, because if I don't have a new chapter or two to show Jenny at Writer's Group, she's going to give me shit. :o)
