It will be a quick update today, because I am having another crazy work day.

It was a nice surprise that THE DARK HORSE opened the show with another rendition of his orginal song BACK OF YOUR CAR. Ryan Star already has a CD coming out, which is way cool for him. That's what makes this show great.

In less than twelve hours (ten for Cathy), Supernova will become a complete band as they name their lead singer. I can't wait. Tonight's episode promises to be awesome, right down to the announcement. But consider this. Each of the Final Four rockers has performed with the band, so we technically have seen the new Supernova.

TOBY opened the show in the stellar form that has launched him to a leader in the competition. His original has become a fan favorite, and he was in rare form. Magni played guitar which was good to see.

LUKAS really nailed it. Last night he showed enormous diveristy and range. He took a chance at a crucial time and it paid off. The Coldplay song (which I recognized from the World Trade Center movie) was powerfully emotional, as was the stripped down version of HEADSPIN.

DILANA launched herself right back to her usual stunning and stellar level of delivery. She also took a chance -- ROXANNE is a tough song -- and she also NAILED IT!!! I'm not as crazy about her original, but I really enjoyed last night's rendition. It's a damn good song. not quite a Supernova song, but close enough. Anyway, Dilana is back, my friends. And this was reflected in Supernova's comments.

MAGNI ended the night with the DEEP PURPLE classic HUSH, which he seemed right at home with. I like his original, but the band didn't seem as excited by it as the others. Unfortunately, I think this will cost him.

I thought it would come out like this:
1 - TOBY
2 - LUKAS
3 - DILANA
4 - MAGNI

The preliminary ratings were:
1 - DILANA
2 - TOBY
3 - LUKAS
4 - MAGNI

I could be wrong between Lukas and Toby in the Preliminary ratings. I don't remember. But good on DILANA!!!

I think MAGNI will be sent home. He's a top performer, but he's #4 out of 4, I am sorry to say. I really like him, and he's done well. but someone has to win.

Beyond that, I haven't any idea how it will turn out and I am not going to venture a guess. It's anybody's gig. I am just going to watch and enjoy.
