I wasn't supposed to get this today, but here's what happened.

Mary went out shopping. I was WAH. When she came home, she told me to stay in the office with the door closed. I heard her putting things away here and there, and then she opened the door and said I could come out.

We chatted, made lunch, and she left to pick up Ben from school.

Ben comes home, has his snack, does some homework, and heads into the guest room to play. After a while, he comes into the office and says, "Dad? Are you aware there is a guitar in the closet?"

Mary wasn't pleased. I guess she should have told him. He can keep a secret.

Ben feels bad that he ruined the surprise.

I'm thrilled and delighted. And I was surprised.
