  • I'm tired, I've had an upset stomach since Saturday, I haven't exercised since Saturday (but Saturday was a rigorous training day), I didn't get a nap this weekend, AND ... I have to work in San Francisco tomorrow.

  • And Thursday, too!

  • And we're doing a "team-building" exercise for a day and a half!

  • Training still going well. The big test is August 16. If I survive that, I make it. But first I have to qualify to take the test.

  • I'm listening to my playlist, which is 233 songs now. Now playing: ROSANNA by TOTO.

  • July has been horrible for writing. Jenny is losing her patience with me, I know, but she's very nice about it. Her latest chapter is REALLY good! And I am not just saying that. July has been horrible for other endeavors of mine. Focus is on training. And work. And keeping my family happy. And ... sleep, now and then.

  • Today is Mary's birthday. I got her tickets to Bernadette Peters. SCORE!

  • It's anybody's year in the NL West, but the winner may have a losing record.

  • Is it the RAYS' year? Remember the '96 Marlins?

  • I just read THE GREAT GATSBY and GOODBYE COLUMBUS because Michael Chabon said they inspired him to write THE MYSTERIES OF PITTSBURGH, which I am now reading. There's a novel idea in my head that's trying to come out.

  • Is it me, or is Big Borther 10 running the same script as Big Brother 9, but with different faces? Lines like: "I totally don't trust him (her)." and "He/She is the type of person who would totally lie to your face and then stab you in the back." Even my son said it's just boring.

  • Now playing: HERE WITHOUT YOU by 3 DOORS DOWN.

  • Now playing: HONESTLY by STRYPER.

  • Have you ever been too tired to read?
