Mood:
Sick

The holidays were very busy for me, so I didn't get to post much. I took off extra days, so I had lots of time at home. Unfortunately, I spent the first few preparing my house (read as frantic cleaning) for having guests, and then all the rest of my free time taking care of a sick baby and trying to live through my own cold. My poor baby was sicker than he's ever been. Marc started getting a little fever on Christmas eve and then by Christmas day had a fever of 103.8. He didn't want to move, he didn't want to play, and most of all, he didn't want anyone who wasn't mama. So I spent most of that day and the next 2 holding a lethargic sleepy baby. We got him to the doctor on Monday only to find out that it was the flu and an ear infection in both ears. His fever is gone now, but he's still got a runny nose and a nasty cough. It doesn't help that I feel like I'm going to die and I'm at work because I have to save all my sick days for days I have to stay home because Marc is sick.

New Years Eve was good. My parents were in town for 4 days and they watched Marc so Marcelo and I could go out. We gamed with friends which was lots of fun.

I don't really have any resolutions for this coming year, but maybe some goals. During 2004 I lost 25 pounds which put me at my goal for where I wanted to be before getting pregnant again. So as far as family related goals go, during 2005 I'd like to be in a good enough place financially to be able to be pregnant by this April so my 2 children will be no more than 2 1/2 years apart.

For personal goals, I'd like to start writing again. I pretty much stopped after getting into programming. I recently picked up a book of poems by my old poetry professor and it was very inspiring. I miss having that outlet.
