As I've posted before, Marc is absolutely addicted to Dora the Explorer. And I have to admit, it's a good show, educational and all that. But for adults, it's terrible! Recently I've found a show that both of us can enjoy. It's not quite as educational, but he doesn't just sit on his butt in front of it like he does with other shows. If anyone with preschool kids is reading this (and you let your kids watch tv), you have to check out The Backyardigans. It's on Nick Jr., so there are no commercials during the show (definitely a plus!), and the show uses great music. Each show has a music style theme. For example, the last one we watched was big band style music. There was even one song that used the music from "A-Tisket A-Tasket" (an Ella Fitzgerald song). They also use professional choreographers to do the dance (it's computer animated). Marc loves to dance along, and I really enjoy the music.
