playing pretend

I know that playing pretend is an important developmental step. It shows that Marc can imagine things that aren't real. But boy do I wish he'd move on to other games of pretend! Right now his only pretend game is playing night-night. It's awfully cute, but so time consuming. It involves pretending he's ready to go to bed but then once we're there he lays his head on his pillow and says "night-night!" and pretends to snore. LOL It's the pretend snoring that gets me every time. :) But then after a few minutes he's done with the game and wants to go downstairs. We repeat this several times until he really is tired enough to go to sleep.

He also likes to bring his momos (cars) to bed with him. Right now, everything he can push is a momo. He'll push a block up my arm saying "Mo! Mo! Mo!" (his version of vroom vroom vroom). It's funny how baby words can affect adult language. Now we all sometimes say "momo" when talking to him about cars or even sometimes to each other when talking about his toy cars.
