Disneyland

Some people go to church on Sunday, we go to Disneyland. Marc has been able to say Disneyland (or rather "Yay Dineylan") for months now. :) We've brainwashed him into the cult of the Mouse early.

So yesterday afternoon we headed out to Disneyland and decided we'd try a different routine from our usual Dumbo-Carousel thing. Marc has recently become obsessed with airplanes and trains. So we decided we'd take him on the Disneyland railroad. Unfortunately, we got in line just as the train was leaving, so we had awhile to wait, but Marc was just thrilled with expectation the whole time we were waiting. "Yay, choo-choo!" Going through the foresty area behind the Jungle Cruise kind of scared him, but he loved the pitch black tunnels. Every time we stopped at a station the conversation went something like this:

Marc: "Nunnel?"
Me: "Yes, we'll go through another tunnel."
pause...
Marc: "Nunnel?"
Me: "Yes, when the train gets going again, we'll go through another tunnel."
pause...
Marc: "Nunnel?"
Me: "I promise we'll go through another tunnel before we get off the train."
pause...
Marc (to Daddy): "Nunnel?"

Since we got there so late, we only got to do the train, dinner and one other ride. Marc's favorite ride is Dumbo, but the line is always terribly long. I don't know about you, but I hate waiting over 30 minutes for the Dumbo ride. Luckily, there's a spaceship ride in Tomorrowland that is basically Dumbo in big kid clothing and Marc thinks that's Dumbo too, since it does the same thing - only faster. As we waited in line, he started making up a Dumbo song. Maaaaaamo, Ma ma maaaaamo, Mamo, MamoMamoMamo, Yay, Mamo!

While we went on the ride, Marcelo looked through some of the shops. I couldn't believe what he came back with. He'd resisted temptation to buy all the other cool Star Wars stuff, but he couldn't resist... Darth Tater. Now Marc has a Darth Vader Mr. Potato Head.
