It has begun. Last night as I was getting Marc ready for bed, I was changing his diaper and he was playing with his jammie pants. When I was done, he started trying to put them on. I took them and started to dress him but this was received with a scowl. He reached for the pants and pointed at me and said "Mommy." as though he were scolding me. It was really kind of cute, but I know I'm in for it now. I let him try to put them on, but after several minutes of him trying to get his foot in (they were tangled), I had to help. I got scolded again, but at least we were one step closer. Then both feet ended up in one leg hole. After awhile I helped him a little again (which he didn't really notice) and then we were done. I'm glad he's able to dress himself, but it turned a 10 second task into a 5 minute project. It wasn't so bad, but I'm sure it's a preview of things to come!
