My republican husband is currently ready "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right" by Al Franken who is very liberal. And he's agreeing with most of what he has to say. There's a liberal in him somewhere, just dying to get out! ;)

Of course, he was never a conservative or I never would have dated him, much less married him. I really think he's a republican just because he's a warmonger. On everything else, he's pretty much a democrat, though he'd never admit it. I have caught him voting democrat in a few recent elections too...
