I just have some random thoughts I want to jot down, so this is a big jumble.

------------------------

This weekend I finally got to see Finding Neverland. I'd really wanted to see it in the theater, but never got to. It was definitely worth the wait, but very sad. I think my favorite part was the discussion about what a terrible thing it is to say that anything is "just" what it is.

------------------------

Marc is really picking up on things quickly. We sometimes play a game where Marcelo pretends that he's going to get him and tickle him. Marc jumps into my arms to hide and I say "Noooooo! He's miiiiiiiiine! He's my Puppy! You can't have him!" and try to hide him, but Marcelo gets him and tickles him anyway. This is of course accompanied by much giggling. :) In the past few days, Marc will come up to me and say "Noooooo! Miiiiiine! My Puppy!" to get me to play the game with him. lol It's terribly cute. :)

------------------------

He's becoming more aware of the world outside of himself and concerned about others' wellbeing. The other night, he dropped a cup and I was obviously startled and he said "Da Mommy OK?". When he watches Nascar with Marcelo and there's a crash, he says "Da momos (cars) OK?".

------------------------

His favorite movie is still obviously Dumbo and he particularly loves the part where Dumbo's mommy is giving him a bath. His bath time is a special time we get to play together every day too.

When Dumbo gets out of the bath, he shakes himself dry and Marc always shakes himself while watching. During the "Baby, Mine" song, he likes seeing all the animals sleeping. He goes through, naming them. "Da horsies (zebras) nigh-night. Da cows (hippos) nigh-night. Da doggies (hyenas) nigh-night. Da keys (kitties aka tigers) nigh-night." etc. We're working on the real names for the animals and he kind of knows hippo now, but still sometimes calls them cows. He also likes the part when the baby hippo jumps in the water and always says "Splash!"
