At my midwife appointment on Wednesday, they drew my blood for my 32 week CBC test. My midwife called me this morning to tell me that I'm severely anemic. I'd kind of suspected it since I've been so out of breath and it happened to me last time too. But I've been taking an iron supplement for the past month and a half. Apparently, my body just doesn't absorb iron pills. So, she's recommended that I take a plant-based supplement like Super Green. Blech. I know it's going to taste awful. I'd so much rather take a pill than drink that stuff, but it looks like the pills just don't work. Blech.
