Welcome, baby Dylan! The boys have a new cousin. :) Marcelo's cousin Tracy just had her first baby and he was born on my birthday! We met him for the first time at Thanksgiving on Sunday. (Marcelo's mom's side of the family always has Thanksgiving the Sunday before Thanksgiving). The kids were all excited to see their new cousin, but then realized that he doesn't do anything yet. LOL

He did very well for being passed around just everyone (there were about 25 people there) and slept happily in the arms of whoever wanted to hold him. Of course, he is just a week old.

Last night, Marc and I were talking about Christmas. I told him that soon we'll be taking him Christmas shopping so he can pick gifts for grandparents. He got all excited and asked if he could get a gift for Aunt Tracy. I was a little confused, but he went on about how he wants to pick something for her to give to the baby. :) What a sweetie. :)

I realized that the age difference between Alex and Dylan is almost exactly the same (2 years, 8 mos) as between Marc and Alex. It's so good to have more kids in the family!

P.S. I also realized that while I loved holding the baby, I loved that I was not the one responsible for him and could hand him back. :) Now that both of my kids have reached a certain level of independence, I'd have an awfully hard time going back to the infant stage! As much as I know I'll really miss having a daughter, I feel that my 2 boys make my family complete and I'm at peace with our decision not to have any more.
