Morning person

I am *not* a morning person. I used to be more of one until I became a parent. The sleep loss involved in waking up early with the kids and then staying up late after they go to sleep to get things done is making me even less of a morning person.

But... Marc is a big time morning person. As long as he gets to wake up when he's ready. At 6am, the time we have to wake up to get ready for school, he has to be dragged unhappily out of bed. But over these weeks of winter break when there's no alarm clock and everyone can (theoretically) sleep as late as they want, he's up as soon as the sky is gray. That makes it about 6:30. And he goes from 0 - 60 in about 15 seconds. The moment he's awake he's ready to bound out of bed and start the day. Where do I get that kind of youthful exuberance? LOL!

A few days ago, as he woke me up at the crack of dawn, I asked him groggily "why do you get up so early?!?!?" and his response was a chipper "because I love getting up early, Mommy!". Well, duh. ;)
