I've been thinking about it for a long time and I finally have submitted my sample and forms to go on the list of potential bone marrow donors. It's always broken my heart reading stories about young children dying of cancer. Or children losing their parents to cancer. And coincidentally, I received the packet on Friday, the same day my uncle died of cancer.

Marcelo asked me if I'm sure I know what's involved and really want to go through the procedure and the needles and everything (I'm *TERRIFIED* of needles) but if I putting up with a few days of discomfort and braving a needle can save someone's life I can't not do it. I'd hope someone else would do the same if it were someone in my family that needed it.
