I've been feeling really sad and nostalgic recently. My kids have been at the same day care since they were babies. Some of the teachers have been there the whole time and they're like family to us. That is true for probably half a dozen of them, but there's one in particular that we've basically adopted into our family.

There's recently been a big shake up at the school since it was taken over by KinderCare. The director left and is buying out and taking over another day care nearby. And K is going over there, as well as one other teacher we're close too. It's not corporate and has a much more family feeling than the corporate stuff that's creeping in with the KinderCare conversion.

So, we've registered the kids at the new school and are withdrawing them from the school they've been at practically their whole lives. I know it will be for the best since the school will change and won't be what we love about it. So, we can either move them now when K moves or wait until we're driven out by the changes. We're moving now.

But many of the teachers we love are still there as well as the kids' friends. I know that a lot of families are moving their kids over and maybe a couple of teachers will go too, but it's hard. Really, really hard.
