I got the kindergarten acceptance for Mia a few days ago. It was all formal Japanese with kanji I could only half understand.

However, I noticed that in the space for "caregiver", the letter was addressed to Naoto.

I was all getting my feminist defenses up and feeling righteous and stuff. That is so wrong, I am the caregiver, I took Mia to the interview, why should they correspond with Naoto.

Then Naoto reminded me that as he filled out the application form for me (still can't write kanji that doesn't make it look like a 2 year old was writing) he naturally signed his own name.

Oh, yeah. Okay. (silly me.)

Anyway, gotta go on Monday and drop a 1000 dollars to secure her place and the uniform. Yikes.
