Good Lunch! Good Day!
Today was good!
My goal at work is to write unit tests... (bits of software that can test the features of a system automatically). We get neat little bonuses for writing them and they are really good to have, so it's a win-win situation! It's been an uphill battle, but I think I should be able to finish my 1st contribution tomorrow! Woo!
I had lunch with a buddy from my HRD class that I haven't seen in awhile. It was really good to see him. We had some good salsa and guacamole and talked about what we've been up to, how work has been going, and the good and the bad of studying martial arts. Interesting views on how the traditional style of martial arts teaching/learning collides with modern viewpoints of acceptable relationships, etc. Very good time. :)
After work, I hopped in the car and listened to some more Snow Crash on the way home. Hiro is having quite a long conversation with The Librarian and it's getting a little difficult to keep everything straight in my head. When I found parking on the street outside our apartment, I let it run a few more minutes.
When I came upstairs, the apartment is cool from the a/c and Jenn was very happy to see me. :) After smooches and the approach of grey cats Jenn makes an interesting observation... I listened to a few more minutes of Snow Crash after I got home.... I stayed in the car longer than I needed to... that's completely unheard of after a commute.
We're both very happy at the effect of having a good audio book with me during the drive. :)
I have the whole night ahead of me with Jenn and good times in the portion of day behind me. Ahhhh..... *relaxing sigh*
