".... go down on me."

Ok, this at least the 3rd time an American Idol finalist sang the song, "Don't let the sun go down on me."

The song is a fine song, it's not a bad song... but it's an strange turn of phrase... as demonstrated in the subject of this journal entry.

It also wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for Justin Guarini in the first season, who sang the song on the last episode and while he was singing the line "don't let the sun go down on me" he put his hand out in front of him and slowly brought it down toward his crotch.

Now... I know what he was really trying to convey was the setting of the sun... but when you are singing a line with the phrase "go down on me"... please, don't motion down to your crotch. For me, for you, for all of the Amercian Idol finalists who come after you who will sing this song.
