Orientation
No, not sexual.... new student!
I went to the New Student Orientation for Emperor's College last night. It was a lot of fun, I tried to meet lots of people on my own in addition to all of the "get to know people" activities we did.
They talked a little bit about the field and the school, the most interesting thing I learned is that all of the classes start with 5 minutes of meditation to help you relax and focus after a day at work or driving through packed Santa Monica streets, etc. I think that's very cool, I would often do that before training when I got to the dojang. It was a long drive to get there so it was always helpful to take a few minutes and clear the mind.
Classes start on July 10th, I have Intro to Eastern Medicine on Monday nights, Anatomy and Physiology I on Friday nights and Intro to Herbology on Saturday mornings.
I'm excited!
