Efforts in the floral department have paid off again this year. We have a hillside of flaming orange ice plants, and a patio trellis covered with delicate purple wysteria flowers.

A swarm of big black bees enjoyed the wysteria all this beautiful afternoon, but they won't get to much longer. Sit under the blossoms for more than a few moments and you'll have them in your hair, on your shoulders, in your drink... they're falling like big purple snowflakes.

Took an hour to return to my spot for the grand equinox pano shoot, and got one of the Hollywood sign and the LA reservoir -- using the large portable battery pack rather than the Panoscan battery. I'll post the resulting pano soon, and link to the whole shoot as well.

Some 200 people around the world participated in this endeavour: shooting a pano on spring equinox for posting on a web site. This is kind of like "day in the life of" only it's "pano on the day of." Anyway, it will be good free exposure for Sir Round.
