During the recent inter-Papal gap, a news article came out that I wanted to share, but it got buried amongst other things.

Did you know that people who want to spy on you can aim a laser at a glass window (of a room where you are speaking) to learn what you are saying? With the laser they can measure reverberations in the glass window accurately enough to reconstruct conversations. They can do it from *a quarter mile away* too.

That's both cool and frightening.
