Rather than watching The Big Game, we played it. World of Warcraft, of course, on our LAN. Jenn, Kenny, and Steven came over to our house for an eight-hour session of taking down Scholomance baddies and then a number of Silithus dukes (with additional guild members participating).

Most of us got what we went for – good loot, better potion recipies, more reputation – even with a few false starts, missteps, party wipes, or accidental pet releases to slow us down along the way. It's good that we don't have to pay by the hour to play.

Of course we had copious amounts of Kenny's mac-n-cheese, Shelley's wings and poppers, Jenn's WoW-themed cupcakes, and Steven's ale to keep us going the whole time. Baby provided some amusement too, although she slept a fair amount of the day. The cold she gave me continues to linger in my head after a week, even though she had it for only two days.

I did TiVo the Superbowl, so that like last year we can skip the football and watch the ads tonight. :-)
