According to Computerworld's annual "Best Places to Work in IT" survey, Cornell ranks #82. That's definitely nice to know.

On the other hand, it's less nice than when I was hired, because last year this place was ranked #40.

Work is going fine. The big university events calendaring system I was full-bore on got pushed back to December because the infrastructure people didn't come through on schedule.

Therefore, they've had me do some work on other various little projects, most of which don't take much time to do, but have been nagging fix-me problems for some time, so they're most happy to have them bagged. Thus, I'm not hard-pressed at the moment and hope for more work soon.

Mostly I'm spending my days with ColdFusion, XML, XSLT, and JavaScript, but am playing around with third-party widgets of various sorts to extend functionality of web pages, like adding spellcheckers, HTML editors, all that sort of thing.

In a few weeks I'll be attending a week-long Employee Leadership Program, with about 30 other CIT staff (everyone takes it). The ELP will be held at a local multi-star restaurant called LaTourelle. I understand they feed people well there during the program.
