"In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed." Kahlil Gibran

a code in my node

I got such a code in my node and my chest and my throat...and I feel lousy! Now you'd think, having survived a bout of breast cancer, this little ol cold would be nothing...but its driving me crazy!

I do not do well with simple little things like a cold...I tend to suffer needlessly. It annoys me that I have no ambition and am content to lay abed and watch daytime television. Talk about a vast wasteland...daytime tv is devoid of anything significant.

Cooking shows...I don't need them...a stack of cookbooks and more than 50 years of experience have taught me all I need to know about cooking.

Talk shows? Gawd...what a variety, from Jerry Springer to Maury Povich and everybody in between...the people are either celebreties promoting something or people who have problems. The promotions I ignore cause I can't afford to buy anything. The people don't impress me...I've got dysfunctional relatives everywhere!

What I do like though are the old movies...the black and white movies..with the stilted actors and the corny scripts...what fun.

Anyway, this cold has been going on for about 3 days and I think the worst of it is over. By tomorrow morning I may even be able to speak without sounding like James Earl Jones.
