"In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed." Kahlil Gibran

Like a lion!

March has gone out like a lion...we've had tornado warnings for the last few hours but thankfully nothing came to fruition. I love April showers but only when they fall softly on a warm day.

Nows the time to start digging up flower beds...the daffodils and johnquills are already blooming. Dontcha just love spring? Soon the baby bunnies will be scurring about, the hummingbirds will be finding their way back to the rose colored feeders and life will begin anew. Isn't it great how we are surrounded by these little miracles every day? Makes ya wanna get up in the mornin just to look around.

I found a cricket in my room tonight when I came in to get ready for bed...that's supposed to be good luck..to find a cricket on your hearth. My cat, BooRegard began to chase the poor little thing around the room but Mr. Cricket was just too fast for him. I suspect he has found a quiet little spot in the corner and will wait til Boo is gone before he ventures out again.

That reminds me, I haven't yet told you about the critters who share this house...4 dogs and 2 cats. The dogs first:
Cash is a 12 year old Beagle with the temperment of a cat.
Gizmo is about 3 years old, also part Beagle, with a constantly wagging tale. Abbie is about 2/12 years old, another Beagle, adopted last summer...she's the shy appearing one, but she's actually a little troublemaker.
Last is Buford, found along the road last fall, all skin and bones. He's a yellow lab, our outside dog and his favorite passtime is digging holes.

The cats are BooRegard, who is my cat. I adopted him when I first moved here, he's black, thinks he's a dog and comes in only to eat and get some lovin.

Mr. Stella is the outdoor cat. He's a black/gray/white tiger and he lives on the back porch. When he first wandered into our lives, we thought he was a she and named him Stella. We took him to the vet to be spayed only to find out she was a he...ergo MR. Stella.

These creatures bring great joy to my life..I only wish we had room for more...here in the country, people often drop their unwanted critters by the side of the road. How cruel is that? But, we can't take them all in, can we?

The eyes are drooping...time to turn off the lite. C-ya.
