Requests for extra credit have always fascinated me. I mean, if you can't do the work already assigned, how can you possibly do extra? Or are you asking me to evaluate your performance in an alternative fashion that is totally unfair to your classmates?

I guess I can't blame the students for asking. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, and all that. Just some musings from the middle of the semester.
