On Friday night, while I was walking to the store to get ice cream for an under-the-weather Greg, a car driven by a young man stopped at the same light as I. The smell of cologne was overwhelming, and I was standing a good 5 yards from his open car window. A word of advice to young men - a nice clean smell is attractive, and strong cologne makes eyes water.

I'm reading "Passage" by Connie Willis. It's a good book, but it's all about death and near-death experiences. Since I'm petrified of death, this is not the best book for me to read. Very well written, though - I can't put it down. It's making me all jittery. Of course, the jitters could be due to the short stack of chocolate chip pancakes that I ate this morning. Hmm...
