It's the last day of June. It is a day to rejoice, because it means that one month of the LONG Phoenix summer is behind us.

Today, for the first time, the wildfires in northeastern Arizona made a noticable impact on the air here in the Valley of the Sun. The sky was kinda white, and you could smell smoke faintly. Rest assured, that at 112 degrees, the smell wasn't from neighbors using their fireplaces.

Yesterday, for the first time, Greg and I went to Guedo's Taco Shop. It will not be the last time. I appreciate a place where the cooks are screaming along with the ranchero music.

One last note: I read Ted Chiang's story collection "Stories of Your Life and Others." He is an amazing writer, and if you haven't read any of his works, get this book. It contains his entire body of work. "Story of Your Life" is a wonderful story, and I was also quite fond of "Tower of Babylon". I know I'm a fan, and I eagerly await his next story.
