I've had a very pleasant weekend. The weather has been nice and I got some much needed sleep. I never seem to get enough sleep anymore.

Last night, Greg and I went to see Episode II at the IMAX theater. Because of the capacity of the IMAX plates, the movie can be only 2 hours long. It was interesting to see what Lucas chose to cut from the movie. I was impressed with the sound editing in that there weren't places where the soundtrack seemed jumpy at the scene cuts. There were several places where the large screen enhanced the imperfections in the digital effects (especially in the Geonosis battle), but much of it held up better than I expected. The most annoying problem was that the movie shots are so wide that, because the IMAX screen isn't at the correct proportions, some of the rich scenery details were lost. And during the opening crawl, the audience looked like they were watching a tennis match. :)

And I have become yet more convinced that I need that wedding dress.
