Today is the last day of my Spring Break, which has been restful. I've especially enjoyed the past four days of uninterrupted Greg-time. We've picnicked and cuddled and read side-by-side. It's been lovely.

Of course, we've also watched the news from Iraq side-by-side. Felt guilty about the pleasant days we were having while all that bloodshed was occurring. Learned that the nearby Palo Verde Nuclear generating station was the largest in the country from reports that it is a terrorist target. Grew increasingly annoyed with the media and the use of "shock and awe." I mean, if you've waited for something to happen for months, can you be shocked? Spent some time contemplating the fate of cousins on either side of my family, both stationed in that part of the world. There is at least one student who I expect not to see for the rest of the semester. Still not quite certain why we're enforcing a UN resolution without UN backing.

Oh, and the answer to the question is: Yes, I can still support the troops without supporting the war.

Hmmm...not quite ready to go back to school tomorrow. Maybe I can unilaterally extend Spring Break.
