On Friday, some friends (Todd, Lori, and Scott) stopped by to have dinner and crash at our apartment on their way up to Sedona. We hadn't seen them in a very long time, and we had a great visit. Lori is a fourth grade teacher, and it was funny to compare our teaching experiences. We found that our students share many of the same problems - short attention span, inability to follow instructions - despite the decade in age differences. I don't know if I should be heartened or disheartened.

On Saturday, Greg and I purchased a bunch of junk food and watched NBA playoff games all day. (You know you're purchasing unhealthy food when the checker comments upon it.) Anyways, we had a great time - the ending to the Suns-Spurs game was phenomenal, and the Kings won, too!

Today included more relaxing and a good meal that we prepared together. We had all of the windows open, and it felt like we were sitting outside. We also had a pleasant discussion with a neighbor, which is something we seldom engage in.

It was a nice weekend.
