I've had a good start to the semester - my opening lectures and labs went well...showed a lot of pretty images and geeked out! I always make certain that the students know what they are getting into.

One of my previous students donated his old astronomy textbook so I could pass it on to a less fortunate student.

One of my students will be finishing his associates degree this December after 30 years of pursuing it. Don't ever let anyone tell you that getting an education is easy. Working a full-time job with an inflexible employer, raising a family, unfortunately having it take so long that degree requirements change...I see so many people working hard and long in pursuit of knowledge.

Monday's homey meals:

lunch - chicken tamale and apple
dinner - wonton soup and OJ
