I had my students do part of the lab outside tonight, then we came back into the classroom to finish the rest of the exercise. I've learned that it's good to leave the room for a few minutes - it forces the students to think and discuss the problems instead of immediately asking me for help. I leave the room. I come back in. Most of the class is gone.

Crap. I forgot it is Fat Tuesday. Oh well, when they try to finish the work on their own, they'll feel like they still have their hangovers.
