what do you say?

I had such high hopes. I wasn't sure that Kerry was going to solve all our problems, but I thought maybe he could make a difference in some areas, e.g. health care, the economy, even the international mess we've found ourselves in.

And now it's more of the same, in a country obviously divided, fueled with a lot of sadness and anger. I know a lot of people who are talking about migrating to Canada, Mexico or New Zealand. Last night we half-heartedly joked about moving to Nova Scotia.

I have also run into a lot of people who are angry with the Christian population in our country. There's a lot of devout Christians out there who voted against Bush specifically because they are such devout Christians and don't find him to be representing Christian values. In some respects it did come down to being a religious choice for many, but just because you're Christian, doesn't mean you believe the Bush propaganda.

I'm also concerned because our country is now governed by one majority. I hoped that even if Bush did win, that other parts of our government would find balance in a Democrat majority.

What are we headed for?

When do we find out who will be the next Secretary of State? I've heard rumblings in the last few months that with Bush's reelection, there could be a change.
