It's been a busy week, or so, at my house.

But the furniture in my house is almost all moved around to where I want it and the house gleams. The carpets are even clean. And the boys have new bunk beds. And my china cabinet/gun cabinet now is full of paperbacks. Still a few things left to do on the house and the yard still needs a lot of work (been out there, too), but lots has been done and it's a Very Nice Thing.

And I did watch my back. Not as much as I should have some days, but I did take care of it.

Today is Winter's birthday party. We're headed up north, where he's now living, for a barbecue and some Laser Tag. This week I'm going to relax as much as possible and get some reading and writing done. It will feel good, and now that everything is pretty much taken care of in terms of my domestic responsibilities, I can do it guilt-free.

Wednesday is Rice's birthday. He will be young. We're celebrating on Wednesday and Saturday. He hasn't really had much of a birthday for the past few years due to work obligations, so I told him this year he gets two birthdays.

Fair enough, don't you think?
