like a dog lying in a corner

that will bite you and never warn you.

Yeah, that was my muse today.

I woke up with a complete story in my head. After the kids went down for their naps this afternoon, I sat down and ripped the bugger off. Okay, it took a few hours, but it was still ripping it off. The kids woke before I was done, but they went about their business and played together for 3/4 of an hour, and then, when I realized what time it was, we went to the grocery store.

We bought a few essential items like two boxes of clementines. They are sweet, seedless, and easy to peel. The box says so, and it's true. Avadore will eat five a day, and he can peel his own, he finds them yummy, and seedless. And the clementines all have stickers! And the stickers say things like Sweet! and Seedless! and Easy to Peel! and Clementines! and California Clementines! because, you know, the box might not have carried their message well enough.

Tonight I wrote 891 words on my novel in 90 project. They are, overall, decent words. They will, for now, do.

Now I'm going to do dishes, and set out kid clothes for the morning, and do some reading. Then I take some Motrin for my back, which is still not happy after last week, and will hopefully sleep long and deep and hard. And hopefully my children will do the same and not wake up at 10, and 12, and 3, and 5 like they have been lately.

And that is all.

Exciting stuff, isn't it :).
