Electric Grandmother

I haven't been keeping up with my blog reading or online reading much for the past few days; I've been focusing on house moving stuff.

I just found out this morning that the wonderful, sweet, talented, brilliant Jamie Bishop was killed in the VA Tech shootings.

I only knew Jamie online, but he was always very kind and witty and thoughtful... And whether he was around online or not I thought of him fairly regularly. To begin with, he was the first person I'd never had much previous association with who told me they liked one of my stories, and though I was always quite touched by that, I was always very impressed with him. There are some people who I consider to be fine examples of the sorts of people who make this world a better place, and if more of us could be more like them then this world would be even more lovely than it already is.

Delving into cliche', and poorly written at that. I hope it makes some sort of sense.

Stephanie Burgis has put together a fine set of links of poetry. And there's one from The Inferior 4.

We will be having Jamie's Anti-Authoritarian Mediterranean Burritos tonight.
