It's Christmas

I managed to finish wrapping gifts, put everything away, stuff the stockings, start my cooking, vacuum the house then mop. Cook some more, help with my youngest Grand baby, deliver a neighbor gift, answer 7 or 8 phone calls. Set up the dining room for a buffet. By 6:00pm my family started to arrive, finished cooking the fish 2 different ways, clams, mussels, crab, salad. Rest of family arrives we bless the food ,eat.

Go to family room to open gifts, Granddaughter has hissy fits 1,2,3. Oldest Grandson is in the zone, wrapping paper flying, screams, giggles, a few coughs, questions and then sits quietly, yes I said quietly with his Dad.

I let my daughter's know that no one is leaving till my house is semi-clean. Everyone pitches in.

Sister & nieces leave. Oldest daughter & family leave. Youngest child and boyfriend go to pub. Middle daughter & family stick around. Son in law begs for sleep, they leave.

I sit down and contemplate my day/ evening. Not so bad. I'm tired, pooped actually, when I look at my sink and my sink has the last few pots, dishes and silverware.

Dishes done, kitchen ready for round 2 for Christmas dinner.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kawnza to ya'll ( that is if anybody actually reads this besides me) and to all a good night.
