Well, today is off to a better start. There were no traffic slowdowns so I made it here in about an hour and ten minutes, which left me plenty of time to survey the parking situation. There is a free lot about five blocks away, which makes a nice walk after I've been in the car so long. I got my name on the list for a space in a lot that's closer, but I'd have to pay for that - and I'm not sure I want to.

The person in the office next to me is someone with whom I went to grad school. We just spent a few minutes catching up, and exchanging information about what we know about other classmates. I told her Rob's in Guam . . .

And I got a phone, finally! It's an IP phone, and it has a bunch of very slick moves. But mostly it just allows me to communicate with people in other offices, which will be a boon, eh?

And I'm all set for class in a little bit. Now it's time to turn my attention to getting ready for my classes next week.

So, at the moment, it's all good . . .
