Okay, so those of you who want to trip down Lansing's Memory Lane, here are some pictures to help you along:

(Opens in a new window, as usual.)

We start out in Ann Arbor, but move quickly beyond. (I'm taking requests, if anyone wants to see something they haven't seen in a while. I thought about looking for Jeff and Kevin's Lapeer apartment, but couldn't remember the number . . . )

I had more to say today, but I've forgotten what it was . . . Oh, I had lunch with my sister-in-law, which was very fun. It was nice to feel like we're both part of the "academic club;" it's a sensation I've very much missed. (And this next bit will sound weird and hokey to me when I read this entry tomorrow - but I got this job right after Jackie died, and I almost wonder if, when people die, there's a short period of grace when they can influence events or something . . . I had a weirdly positive feeling after the job interview, although I was pretty much flying on autopilot and a drained battery that day . . . I thought at the time, and I sometimes think now, that Jackie wanted me to have this job just precisely so her children's families would become closer . . . Well, enough mysticism for one day . . . but still . . . )
