Ah. This was my other thought from yesterday. Not a terribly profound one but . . . gas prices have been extremely chaotic here lately. It's not unusual for them to fluctuate between 10 and 20 cents a gallon in the space of a day. Take Wednesday & Thursday, for instance. I filled up Wednesday morning and paid $1.87.9 per gallon. On Thursday evening, prices were $2.06 pretty much everywhere I looked - but I found one rogue station where the price was $1.95, and got gas there.

Jeff says he heard that prices routinely go up on Thursday and stay up until Monday, so I'm going to watch for that trend this weekend. With any luck, I can avoid buying gas again until Monday morning . . .

I'm wondering whether people on other parts of the globe are noticing similar fluctuations? Or is this yet another pre-election phenomenon manufactured to scare everybody into voting for that fascist?? (Not that I'm cynical and bitter or anything. Just tired.)
